Fauda was delivered by Amels in 2001 and was previously named Mercury. In 2025, WOSA managed her six-month refit, which combined a complete renovation of her interior with work on her machinery, her wheelhouse and her decks.

In the engine room, both main generators and the main engine-room pumps were replaced, and the main machinery and onboard systems were maintained. The wheelhouse was renewed and her electrical, audio-visual and navigation systems were upgraded. On deck, the exterior teak decking was replaced.

In 2026, WOSA managed a warranty and technical-maintenance programme on Fauda, focused on the reliability of her machinery, the repair of her hotel systems and the restoration of her operational readiness.

The generators were serviced, checked and repaired where needed, and their supporting systems were verified. Faults on the main engines were investigated and targeted maintenance was carried out, with specialists attending where required. The gearboxes were maintained, inspected and repainted after service, and ultrasonic testing and condition checks supported the technical decisions on selected machinery and components.

To allow the tank and machinery works to proceed safely, fuel was removed, transferred and reloaded in a controlled way, and the oily water and controlled residues generated during the yard period were handled and disposed of through authorised channels. On the hotel side, repairs were made to sliding doors, cabin locks, lighting, ventilation and extraction systems.

Throughout the programme, WOSA managed the technical documentation, coordinated the contractors and followed up the warranty claims through to completion.
