A complete exterior repaint was at the heart of KD’s refit with WOSA, combined with detailed engineering works and the restoration of her high-end finishes. Before any paint was applied, the yacht was surrounded by complete scaffolding and a protective enclosure, and her teak, glazing, stainless steel and other non-painted surfaces were carefully masked and protected.

The exterior hardware, furniture and fittings that stood in the way were removed, kept in controlled storage and later reinstalled, so the painters had uninterrupted access to the painted areas. The hull and superstructure were prepared, locally faired and finished with a premium topcoat, with close quality control throughout the coating cycle.

Below the waterline, the antifouling was prepared and the underwater paintwork inspected in detail, in coordination with the docking and technical programme. Inside the yacht, painting and restoration works were carried out in the bilges, the garage and selected technical spaces, including the preparation of the affected substrates.

Alongside the repaint, the lifting platform, doors, seals and stainless-steel fittings were repaired and then checked for alignment and function, and the plumbing, drainage and water-treatment components identified during the refit were replaced or rectified. Targeted repairs to teak, carpentry and decorative finishes, with the final detailing coordinated around the paint programme, completed the work.
