SCORPION
M/Y Scorpion is a 46 m (151 ft) Sanlorenzo 46Steel delivered in 2015, with exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski Design. WOSA Yacht Refit & Survey managed her refit, a major project developed alongside her ten-year special class survey that combined compliance work, engineering and owner improvements.

Inside the refit of M/Y Scorpion

Scorpion was delivered by Sanlorenzo in 2015 as the eighth unit of the 46Steel series, and her refit with WOSA was built around her ten-year special class survey. WOSA coordinated the survey activities, from access and inspections to contractor interfaces and the close-out documentation, and combined them with compliance, engineering and owner improvements.
On the engineering side, the shaft clearances were checked and the bearings inspected to assess wear and verify the required tolerances, while the rudder bearings and related steering components were inspected and serviced. The exhaust risers and associated high-temperature components identified during inspection were repaired.
In the engine room, the generator fuel-system components and supporting equipment were maintained, and pumps, valves and HVAC equipment were serviced and repaired across the technical worklist. On deck, the windlass was maintained and then verified in operation.
Testing and reporting completed the programme. The lifting appliances were certified, the diving equipment and compressor were tested, and defects were tracked and recorded in technical reports.
